Emma’s exploration into fluidity and negative space honour the silent wisdom of landscape. These pieces draw inspiration from the undulating rocks that border the southwest coast of WA. Shallow pools of water fill pockets of weathered rock; a vessel for new life to blossom. These pieces are intended to be felt, inviting the palm to follow the movement of each curve.

about the artist

Emma Lindegaard is a self-taught ceramic artist based in Fremantle, Western Australia.

Her objects are built entirely by hand, using the coiling method and minimal tools over multiple days, allowing space for spontaneity, intuition, and experimentation to inform the final piece. As a result, each work is a unique expression, often led by exploration of negative space, organic curves, and clean lines.
