EF 'Placed'

Form is everything. Emma's vessels are large natural curvaceous pieces that sit quietly on their own, but when placed together as a group, they come alive, taking the appearance of a still life painting.

The vessels develop a relationship with each other, and placing them together has become an essential part of Emma's work - how they sit in the light, where the light is, and where the shadows form. In photographing her work, Emma moves pieces around until they work together, ultimately looking for stillness.
